Fun 70's Vintage Gunne Sax Set. Top is Cotton/poly/velveteen/nylon/rayon. Skirt is Cotton/velveteen/nylon/rayon.
The top is upcycled from a Gunne Sax dress- it does look like the peplum was reattached (excellent job) probably to get the zipper to go full length. V-neck, corset bodice, zip-up back, long sheer voile bishop sleeves with open lace trim and 4 button cuffs, attached back ties, peplum hem. Gunne Sax 9 BUT due to the upcycle and an added modern outside zipper this would fit a Vtg Gunne 11 as well (Please know your Vintage GS size and check all measurements), would best fit a modern S.
The skirt is button front, velveteen inlay at waist, 2 x side pockets, full midi skirt, lace and ribbon trim. The skirt is a Vtg Gunne Sax 9 (Please know your vintage GS size and check all measurements), would best fit a modern S (26" waist).
Both top and skirt have strong colors, perfect velveteen and crisp fabric.
The skirt has a minor thread pull on the button placard and there is lite fray to the button holes.
The top is upcycled with a modern exposed zipper. Otherwise a GEM!
These two pieces look darling together or as separates, a not set set!!!
