A total sweetheart! 70's Vintage Gunne Sax Maxi Sundress. Cotton/nylon/rayon.
Sweetheart neck with button-up bodice, zip-up back, attached back ties, 2 x side pockets, full maxi skirt, lace and ribbon trim.
Vintage Gunne Sax 9 (Please know your Vintage GS size and check all measurements), would best fit a modern XS (32" pit to pit). I would not push that 32" bust if you have modesty issues as the buttons have space between them.
This dress presents well but does have some minor issues:
- Straps have been shortened 1/4" at tops from previous owner. There looks to be a rip on one side. The alteration is fair, but I was afraid to take it out as not sure what is there. It is secure.
- Top button has lost it's metallic sheen
- Tiny hole to front of skirt has been repaired with a a fuse patch- lost in sweep
- There is some yellowing to the skirt on the inside of the fabric- it cannot be seen from the outer

Small rust mark at hem that did not lift with wash

This came to me with the ruffle hem detached- I have had the ruffle professionally resewn on, but the sergering is different at that tier
- Some lite shade variations to fabric- common for darker Wamsutta fabric and very subtle. Slighter fade to attached ties- not well seen when worn
This mixture of fabrics is darling and will make a cute summer dress!
