Description: 70's Vintage Gunne Sax Ivory Maxi Dress. Cotton/nylon/acetate. Cotton is a gauzy Indian cotton, very unique for a Gunne.
Mock neck, zip-up back, lace inlay and ruffle to bodice, attached back ties, long sleeve sheer lace with bishop zip cuffs, full maxi skirt, acetate underskirt, lace trim.
Vintage Gunne Sax 13 (Please know your Vintage Gunne Sax size and check all measurements), would best fit a modern S or M- different than traditional Gunne cottons and voiles, this fabric does have give, but I would not press the stated measurements too far..
One owner dress, (this was worn to a cotillion dance in 1981).
There is thinning to the acetate lining is a several places (example photo #9), this does not affect wear and cannot be seen from the outer.
Lite marks to the hem and skirt- I was afraid to deep clean due to the thinning acetate, this may lift- buyer's discretion.
I have added one dart to the hem to conceal a snag, lost in sweep.
This fabric will shrink when washed, I have steamed and ironed in photos and shown with a crinoline, but when hanging flat the lining will show- so please be mindful that this dress will need to be hard pressed again prior to wear.
This dress would be lovely for a boho bride or just for tea!
