Fan Favorite! 70's Vintage Gunne Sax Unicorn Maxi Dress. Cotton/poly/acetate/nylon.
Collared lace neck, zip-up back, faux pearl button-up bodice, 3/4 dolman sleeves with elastic cuffs, attached back ties, maxi skirt is two tier with acetate lining.
Vintage Gunne Sax 11 (Please know your vintage GS size and check all measurements), would best fit a modern M.
One owner dress lovingly cared and stored, the voile outer is perfect as is the lace.
Issues with this dress include:
- This dress came to me with a reverse hem on two places of the under tier. I have released the bottom hem stitch and hard pressed. A very faint crease line remains, that is loss in the sweep.
- I left the second reverse hem on the under tier because it is on the acetate and I did not want to pull out the stitching and damage the acetate. It is well done with the fold concealed behind the voile ruffle and not seen when worn. This actually gives you a reverse hem without it looking like the bottom tier is hemmed, so it would be great for someone that would be adding the reverse hem anyway.
- There are two small holes to the acetate, not seen from the outer and some lite marks to the acetate that did not lift with wash. These are not seen from the outer either.
Such a cute print and unique fit for a Gunne. You will love this one!!!
